Getting acne treatment used to be a difficult ordeal, but things
have become much simpler in recent years.
First consider the severity of your acne. If you only have small,
infrequent breakouts, you will approach treatment differently than
if you experience large and frequent breakouts.
People with small and/or infrequent breakouts are more likely to
get a good result using over-the-counter medications for acne treatment.
Some people prefer to use different kinds of creams. Others prefer
specially made soap created to control acne. There are also pads or
wipes available that sting slightly, but do a good job of penetrating
into the pores.
Those with more severe acne problems should consult with a dermatologist
in order to understand the best approach. Once a dermatologist gets
a better idea of the kind of acne you have and the way it reacts to
treatment, it is easier to get started on the right kind of acne treatment.
