When you contemplate facial care, remember that there is no routine
that fits every skin type. Take your own skin type under consideration.
Most people know whether their skin is extremely oily or dry, but if
there are variations or differing subtleties, it is best to consult
a skin care specialist.
Aside from the basics of oily, dry, combination or normal skin
types, there are other things to consider, such as:
• Climate and/or climate changes – this is the especially
important if you reside in an extremely dry or humid area. The moisture
or lack of moisture in the air can affect your skin. Moving to a different
climate can require a change in your facial care.
• Age – as you age, your skin changes along with
the rest of your body. Dryness, wrinkles, sunspots and even acne may
occur, requiring varying different tactics in facial care.
• Exposure to sun requires daily vigilance and protection with
sunscreen. This can now be found in many facial moisturizers and sunscreens,
making it easy to implement into your daily routine.
Facial care is a lifelong routine; however, this routine may need to
be altered over time due to aging and environmental factors. Take care
to reevaluate your skincare process as you undergo climate change, aging,
hormonal changes and time spent in the sun.
